Mental Health & I/DD Summit a huge success

New York needs to do more for people with disabilities who have coexisting mental health conditions.
That’s why CP State is partnering with the Mental Health Association in New York State, and the New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services to improve the care of people who find themselves at the crossroads of those conditions.
More than 80 stakeholders in the mental health and disabilities fields attended the Summit On Collaborating to Improve the Lives of People with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and Co-existing Mental Health Conditions on Wednesday, November 30. The summit brought together leaders and advocates in both fields to improve I/DD and mental health care and will be part of an ongoing dialogue to produce policy changes and guidance.
