DQI Info Session on August 7

The Division of Quality Improvement (DQI) is continuing its series of webinars to provide informational updates to the field on various quality improvement topics and to share information on trends and/or best practices observed in the field. If time permits, there will be a questions and answers segment at the end of the webinars.

The webinar on Wednesday, August 7, 9:30-11:30 a.m., will focus on:

Incident Management Unit (IMU) Updates

This presentation will:

  • Provide information pertaining to the OPWDD Registered Provider process
  • Address how to complete the OPWDD Form 147 in OPWDD’s Incident Report and Management Application (IRMA)
  • Review expectations for reporting incidents and event/situations during off hours

Changing the Life Plan

The Care Manager, on behalf of the person receiving services, and in collaboration with the Care Planning team, is responsible for updating the Life Plan through an established process. This training will offer Care Managers and Providers the opportunity to collaboratively review with OPWDD the policy and process for updating or changing the person-centered Life Plan.

Fire Safety: Defend in Place Strategy

This presentation will provide an overview of the criteria for a Defend in Place Strategy and explain how a provider can request this designation.
