A panel of benefits and compliance specialists will engage in an interactive Q&A on workforce trends by generation and the changing nature of employee benefits in today’s multigenerational workplace landscape. The conversation will include the differing benefits demands by generation, compliance considerations and challenges for employers, attracting and retaining employees, the role of workplace policies with respect to employee benefits, and creative solutions to the unique challenges employers face today.

Dave Melby, Vice President, NFP

Prior to joining NFP, David was President of The Daniels Benefits Group and Senior Vice President at Rose & Kiernan, Inc., both Northeast regional insurance brokerage firms. David has 32 years of experience with a specialty in employee benefits and is a regular guest speaker for many SHRM Chapters (Society of Human Resource Management). David works with larger employer groups throughout New York and Connecticut. He has a particular expertise in the municipal and not-for-profit arenas, whereby collective bargaining is a strong suit. Clients entrust David’s expertise in all aspects of employee benefits. David serves as advisory board member to many insurance companies, assisting in the development of new products, pricing, and marketing.

Christina Villecco, Senior Vice President, Compliance Counsel, Pilot RB

Christina Villecco has her B.A. from Colgate University, and her J.D. from New York Law School where she graduated with honors. Christina has been with Pilot for 12 years, where she advises clients of their health and welfare plan compliance obligations under applicable law, such as ERISA and the Affordable Care Act. A member of the legal counsel working group of the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers, Christina coauthors comments to Congress on pertinent industry legislation such as the Lower Costs, More Transparency Act (H.R 5378). She has been practicing law for 14 years, and is admitted to the State Bars in both New York and Connecticut. When not working, Christina volunteers with the Gals Best Pal animal rescue in Massachusetts, and is a member of Flat Out Love, a nonprofit organization for breast cancer survivors, advocating for early detection.

Robert Flicker, Senior Vice President, Corporate Synergies

With over 30 years of employee benefits consulting experience, Rob brings strong leadership to the ever-changing landscape of his industry. His expertise in risk evaluation, strategic planning, client retention, and creative financial solutions has made a positive impact for his clients throughout his career. In his current role with his talent for attracting the industry’s top talent, Rob supervises the management of Corporate Synergies’ New York and Long Island client base with a high performing team of benefit consultants.

Victor Dezelic, Senior Vice President, Corporate Synergies

Victor’s current position with Corporate Synergies is the role of Senior Vice President, with the responsibility of cultivating and maintaining relationships with executives and senior level management of large group organizations. Using his 30+ years of experience, Victor drives superior employee benefits results for a variety of clients across diverse markets and represents many of New York’s most prominent Not for Profit organizations. He possesses a wealth of experience that has earned him an industry wide reputation as a fierce negotiator and strategist who supports the needs of the client in an ever-changing insurance and healthcare environment. As a Senior Vice President and Senior Benefits Consultant for Corporate Synergies, he advises, directs, and implements short- and long-term business strategies to help employers contain and control rising benefit and healthcare costs.

Victor resides in Huntington, Long Island and is a graduate of Stony Brook University. He is the proud father of twin daughters, an avid golfer and fisherman, and also involved with Long Island’s adult and youth lacrosse programs.
