Favorite part of the job: It brings me joy to help a child  tap into their talents. It is like finding a piece of puzzle and when it is put together it is a masterpiece. Every child has special interests and gifts. I enjoy thinking outside of the box and encourage the child to do the same. I believe every child needs positive reinsurance and guidance to help them explore what they like and development who they are.

Best experience on the job:  My favorite experience was when a graduate student came back to Jawonio to visit. In my class he was shy, had difficulty speaking and had trouble making friends. He often kept to himself. We worked hard using our words and exploring his talents. He returned to my class as a junior in high school. He played soccer, he was president of the business club and was exploring collages so he could go into education.

Movie Moment: It was graduation day. It's exciting and nerve racking for both the children and the families.  This particular year I had shy boy who only spoke softly.   I thought I needed to provide support for him during this exciting day. We paraded out with the parents and families waiting for us. I felt nervous for him, I thought he would cry seeing the crow. As the music started playing, and the children stood to dance, he took center stage with his magical moves. The crowd roared!
