I enjoy that I am Able2 find new ways to provide informative, interactive, interesting, training and development opportunities to employees. I enjoy finding ways for people we support to share their experiences with new and seasoned employees. I enjoy collaborating with trainers regionally and across NYS, to try to be Able2 keep topics for training fresh and fun for instructors, employees, and people we support.
Best experience on the job: I had 2 guest speakers during an initial SCIP-R class. Both of the guests were people we support who had never assisted with training before. The 1st speaker shared tips about how to relieve stress; he assisted for 6 minutes. The 2nd speaker discussed how positive and functional environments make living in her home a lot easier when her housemates are having a tough day; she assisted for 40 minutes. This was one of the best classes I've been a part of because of the people we support.
