Favorite part of the job: Witnessing, and being a part of, the progress that the students at The Children's Center make. Seeing the happy faces and hearing the laughter of the children throughout the building.  I enjoy going to work every day.  I am grateful to work at The Children's Center.

Best experience on the job: The social gatherings at the school are extremely happy moments.  Especially the Sweetheart Dance and Prom that occurred this year.  After attending a conference on inclusion, we decided to organize a “Sweetheart Dance”.  Many students and their families attended.  A DJ played dance tunes and there were activities and snacks. It brought joy to all who attended. Because the dance was such a hit, we organized a Prom.  We'll be doing that again this year!

Movie Moment: The therapists at The Children’s Center were providing teletherapy for the students on their caseload during the early stages of COVID.  Therapists repeatedly commented that the students needed ‘hands on’ therapy.  Families were invited to bring their children to school for PT, OT and/or Speech during the summer. The entire experience when COVID was at its height was unbelievable. Observing how the team came together and did what was needed during such a stressful time was inspiring.
