Favorite part of the job: Having worked in Day Program for many years, it is interesting to learn about how other agency programs/departments are run and the OPWDD regulations that apply to each one.  I also enjoy being able to uncover ways that we can enhance our service delivery as an agency for the people we support.

Best experience on the job:  The best experience I have had in my current role was the first time I had to present one of my investigative reports to IRC.  I was able to answer all the follow-up questions the committee members had for twenty minutes.  At the end, I was complimented by the committee for completing a thorough investigation and told that my report was well-written.  The experience gave me more confidence in my abilities as part of the QI Team.

Movie Moment: The incident is not work related, but I recently went on a camping trip with my family that could have been a National Lampoon Vacation movie.  We had things break or malfunction daily with our camper.  The shower stall shattered upon our arrival, and it went downhill from there.  We had a water leak, our awning stopped working, and the camper's control panel died.  We had to go out to buy parts to fix something on the camper almost every day on our 7-day trip.
