Favorite part of the job: I love that I get to see each of the individuals regularly and see the progression of their life skills and watch them grow.  I also enjoy taking individuals out into the community to participate in activities they would otherwise not participate in.  Seeing their faces light up and the excitement in their smiles is why I get up each day and work in this field.  I remind myself and others that at any moment, we too could be in their shoes.  Treating others as we want to be treated is #1!

Best experience on the job: The best experience I have had in my current position is watching someone not only complete a task they thought was impossible to do, but to crush that task that gave them so much confidence within themselves.

Movie Moment: Recently a co-worker and I took a couple individuals to Oswego to spend the weekend at an indoor water park and to attend a race at Oswego Speedway.  One of the individuals we took loves random animal facts. We happened to stumble on a "Family Fun Day" in town.  The staff at G and G animals from Oswego were wonderful with this individual.  Listening to all of his questions patiently and answering his questions.  They were a fantastic group of people who took their time, it was great to witness.
